Shamatha Meditation
Join us for shamatha (calm-abiding) meditation practice, a mind-training that uses diverse focusing techniques to help the mind settle and help the mind-owner notice its habitual patterns of distraction. This practice will be joined with exploration of fundamental Buddhist concepts. No experience necessary.

This concise practice, held in English, focuses on prayer, visualization, and mantra recitation evoking Tara, the visualized expression of our own infinite potential for pure awareness and compassion.
Let's gather in person for Chagdud Rinpoche's heart practice and meditate together on developing awareness and compassion for all beings. Whether you are curious about Tibetan Buddhist meditation or would like to refresh or share your connection with this precious practice, let's do it together! Rigdzin Ling with Lama Padma
Chenrezig Drubchod – In-person and livestreamed
Empowerment required Friday Dec 13 to Sunday Dec 15, 2024 Chenrezig embodies the compassion of all enlightened beings. Meditating on the form and reciting the mantra of Chenrezig refines away selfishness, confusion and negativity, connecting the practitioner to the nature of their own unbiased compassion. This three-day retreat focuses on the mandala of Chenrezig according to the sacred revelations of Tromge Khachod Wangpo, the great Terton in the family lineage of Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche. You may apply to attend this retreat in-person at Rigdzin Ling. It will also be livestreamed. Partial attendance permitted. There will be two formal sessions and a tsok feast each day. The Chenrezig empowerment of this particular lineage is a prerequisite to participate. A Ceremony for the Deceased will be conducted by Lama Padma and sangha during the Sunday afternoon session of the Chenrezig Drubchod.
